We are happy to announce PowerPro RTO is now AVETMISS 6.1 compliant. There is a requirement RTOs should be reporting in the new AVETMISS version/format (6.1 as oppposed to 6.0) as of January the 1st 2012.

PowerPro (as of version 1107 build 33 - 28 Dec 2011) allows users to select between the two AVETMISS versions when generating their AVETMISS files:

If you have a build lower than 33 please use the "Tools"> "Get Latest Version" menu command to upgrade to the this version of PowerPro RTO.

As of January 2012 RTO's submitting any AVETMISS files must do it on the new format (6.1) as oppposed to the current 6.0 format. The changes from 6.0 to 6.1 are minimal and there is no major impact on PowerPro RTO. Basically a new field has been added to the Courses "Specific Program Identifier" (which will be left blankin most cases):

Also, a new option is added to the "Qualification/Course Recognition Identifier": 

"Higher-level qualifications, other than training package qualifications or nationally recognised accredited courses"

Additionally, the outcome codes have changed slightly. We are currently modifiyng PowerPro to map the utcomes to the new codes, this process should be transparent to PowerPro users - the outcomes and outcome descriptions will remain the same.

We will be releasing an update later in the month, we suggest installing the update in early January as follows:

1 - Close PowerPro on your system (others can be using it, no problem)
2 - download and execute http://www.powerprorto.com.au/tms/1107/workstation.exe
3 - follow the install wizard accepting all default settings (Next, Next, Next...)

After some extensive assurance testing with the Victorian Sudent Register team, Power Pro passed the tests.

As of this date, PowerPro RTO (update 1012 build 25) complies with the Victorian Student Number requirements.
